Easy & Healthy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans- 28 oz. puree tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 tube of tomato paste

  • 1 tsp. sea salt

  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper

  • 2 tsp. red pepper flakes

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tsp. fresh or dried oregano

  • 1 tsp. fresh or dried basil

  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Directions:

  • In a large pot, pour in tomato sauce, water, and tomato paste- over high heat

  • Add in all spices + herbs. Wait until the sauce starts to boil to mix everything together.

  • Cook over medium heat for 3 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally and do not cover during the cook time.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
