Broccoli + Sausage Pasta

Broccoli + Sausage Pasta:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. of organic short pasta noodles

  • 1 lb. of hot Italian ground sausage

  • 2-3 heads of broccoli, broken into large florets

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmigiana

  • Olive Oil- always try to buy olive oil in a dark, glass bottle!

Directions:

  • In a large size pot, boil water for the broccoli. Once boiling, add the broccoli florets and cook for about 10 minutes or until soften.

  • In another large pot, boil water for pasta noodles. Add salt to the water. Once water begins boiling, add pasta noodles and cook according to the package directions.

  • While the broccoli is cooking, begin cooking the Italian sausage. Heat up a large skillet with 1 tbsp. olive oil over medium heat. Once heated, add Italian sausage. Brown the sausage while breaking up into small pieces. Once all browned, add salt and pepper. Set aside in a bowl and cover.

  • In the same pot as you boiled the broccoli, add the broccoli back in with olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for 5-6 minutes.

  • On a large serving plater, add broccoli, pasta noodles, Italian sausage, and parmigiana cheese. Mix all together.

  • Plate and Enjoy!
