Broccoli + Sausage Pasta
Broccoli + Sausage Pasta:
Ingredients:
1 lb. of organic short pasta noodles
1 lb. of hot Italian ground sausage
2-3 heads of broccoli, broken into large florets
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup freshly grated parmigiana
Olive Oil- always try to buy olive oil in a dark, glass bottle!
Directions:
In a large size pot, boil water for the broccoli. Once boiling, add the broccoli florets and cook for about 10 minutes or until soften.
In another large pot, boil water for pasta noodles. Add salt to the water. Once water begins boiling, add pasta noodles and cook according to the package directions.
While the broccoli is cooking, begin cooking the Italian sausage. Heat up a large skillet with 1 tbsp. olive oil over medium heat. Once heated, add Italian sausage. Brown the sausage while breaking up into small pieces. Once all browned, add salt and pepper. Set aside in a bowl and cover.
In the same pot as you boiled the broccoli, add the broccoli back in with olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for 5-6 minutes.
On a large serving plater, add broccoli, pasta noodles, Italian sausage, and parmigiana cheese. Mix all together.
Plate and Enjoy!
